Alyssa and Adam—Downtown Knoxville Engagement

We met these two for the first time on the Gay Street Bridge in Knoxville, TN. They shared with us the adorable story of the day they got engaged, which was also on the Gay Street Bridge. It was great to be able to use such a special location for their photos. These two were willing to go anywhere and try anything and were such a blast to work with. This is a couple that you can tell are each other’s best friend, and we got some great shots that just seemed to come natural to them. Holly and Scott—A House Divided—Tennessee Kentucky Engagement

We had such a great time with Holly and Scott during their engagement shoot. They asked us out to Holly’s grandparents’ property in Harrogate, TN and it was a beautiful location! With so many great spots to choose from, we could have stayed there all day. We love being able to show a couple’s true personality in their photos and Holly and Scott bring just that. They brought along so many of their own ideas and creativity for the shoot. You can see how adorable and fun these two are and that just made our job even easier. Once the serious stuff was over we took a break for a wardrobe change and that’s where their true colors came out. Sorry Scott, but we’ve gotta side with Holly on her choice of college sports apparel. A big thanks to the family of these two that showed up and ended up being our professional bubble blowers, we couldn’t have done it without you! Congratulations you guys, we are looking forward to your wedding in July!

Believe Workshop–Knoxville Wedding Photography

Yesterday we attended the Believe Workshop featuring Joe and Kathleen of JoPhoto and Kristin of KLP Photography and Casey of Nicholas & Keaton (wedding videography). The workshop was focused on growing your wedding photography business. Kristin explained the importance of building your brand and attracting your ideal client. Joe walked us through several shoots demonstrating posing techniques and off camera lighting. Kathleen discussed ways to increase your business exposure using social media and website SEO. Finally, Casey taught us how to increase our sales by thinking outside of the box and having superior customer service. Even though we’ve been shooting weddings for a few years now, we still learned a lot and met a lot of great people in our local wedding industry. Thanks everyone for making it a great day!

This is a 19-image Brenizer method panorama stitched in Photoshop. This technique allows for a shallow depth of field that can not be achieved with a wide angle lens.

Knoxville Old City Engagement • Hannah and Olin

We were blessed with an unseasonably warm day for Hannah and Olin’s engagement session. We will be shooting their May wedding at The Historic Ramsey House and we couldn’t be more excited about shooting at this beautiful venue! We often recommend that our couples choose an engagement session location that will contrast their wedding photos so that they’ll have a good variety. Since they’ll be getting married in May when gardens are blooming and everything is green, we suggested an urban style e-session in the Old City. We had a great time with them exploring the architecture and alleys of this area. Hannah and Olin, we hope you love your photos as much and we enjoyed making them! -Jimmy & Kim

Middlesboro Wedding Photography • Gabby and Tommy

When you think of a wedding in December, lots of things probably come to mind. Some things that probably DON’T are short sleeves, sunshine, or a barefoot bride running around outside. They say you can’t control the weather, but if you could we doubt you could come up with a more perfect day for a wedding. Surrounded by their loving family and lots of great friends, Gabby and Tommy said “I do” at their hometown church, First Baptist Church of Middlesboro. The unusual warm temperature allowed us to go outside for their photos. We’re not even sure how long we kept them out there, but they never stopped smiling! We had so much fun with this couple from the first moment we met them and are truly grateful to them for allowing us to share their special day. Knoxville Wedding Photography • Lauren and Blake

There’s nothing like witnessing true love between a couple that makes our job as wedding photographers so much fun. And when you find a couple that so obviously has that, it just makes our job even easier. Lauren are Blake are a perfect example. Some of our favorite shots of this couple came from them just being themselves, when no one was watching… or so they thought. And when Blake disappeared during the reception then came back with a chair and guitar to sing to his bride… I think the entire room fell in love.

It started with a small ceremony at Hopewell Presbyterian Church just outside of Knoxville in Dandridge, TN. We heard the ceremony came together pretty fast, but you’d never know by the looks of it. Everything about this wedding was perfect and we are excited to share it with you. Congratulations Lauren and Blake!

Engagement Mini-albums

We love making these little albums for clients. They’re very small (about 4×6), but they have a lay-flat binding that allows for a full spread photo to be used without a distracting gutter in the middle. This means that you can carry a selection of 6×8 photos from your session with you anywhere you go!

We gift this to our clients for any paid engagement session. We also offer them a la carte for other sessions.
